Back On The Road In League Action

by Jeff King

Chester-le-Street United are on the road for the second successive Saturday as they travel to New Ferens Park, Durham to take on Durham Corinthians. The Corinthians currently sit in 7th position in the Wearside League.

Their 12 league games so far have seen them produce a respectable return of seven wins, three draws and only two defeats. They have scored 30 goals and conceded 15.

Top scorer is 27-year-old midfielder Michael Ross who has netted seven times so far this season. Forwards Cameron Arthurs and the experienced Stephen Telford both have six goals. Defender Kieron Richardson is also a danger having 5 goals.

A tough test today for United's youngsters who will have to be at their best to get all three points and keep their momentum in the top half of the division going.

Kick-off is at 15:00pm and you can pay at the gate.
