Backroom Staff Looking For Bounceback

by Jeff King

After the disappointment of Saturday's 1 - 0 home loss to Gateshead Leam Rangers, United are looking to get straight back to winning ways against Washington United tonight.

The game at The Ford Hub, Sunderland kicks off at 7:30pm and everyone at The Club is hoping Saturday's poor showing and result does not affect the great support the team has received so far this season.

There's no doubting that in front of a packed Riverside on Saturday the youngsters in United's first team had a great opportunity to show what they are all about. Failure to take that opportunity was a blow to their hopes going forward.

It prompted the Management Committee to issued a strongly worded statement of apology which they hope will have a galvanising effect on the team and the support.

United face a Washington United side that have won one drawn two and lost one of their four league games so far scoring five times and conceding eight. It's a game many would expect Chester to win.

But any win has to be earned and won't be conceded easily by another tough opponent and Chester will have to be back at their best to run to winning ways.
