Chester-Le-Street United New Ground Plans In Partnership With Park View Academy of Sport

Chester-le-Street United in partnership with Park View Academy of Sport are delighted to announce plans for a new state of the art ground in the heart of town. The new ground will be located at Park View School, Church Chare and will encompass a full size 3G football pitch, clubhouse, changing facilities as well as additional on site parking.

The new ground will allow Chester-Le-Street United Men's and Womens teams to attempt to climb through their respective Football Leagues as the plans support the various ground grading requirements of their respective football pyramids.

The ground will also serve as a home to over 50 junior boys and girls teams from Chester-Le-Street United Youth section with the aim of this facility to provide a community hub for all of Chester-Le-Street to enjoy. The facility will be open to other community users and will be operated in partnership between the club and Park View Community Centre.

The club offers full and realistic pathways from our Mini United - pre-school - session all the way to the first teams who proudly represent the town at the weekend. From top to bottom we continue to strive to deliver the best very football environment for all our players and the ground is huge step towards doing just that as it will allow all our teams to train on 3G surfaces all year round.

The Plans will also kick-start the clubs disability football and walking football programmes ensuring that we bring football all year round to all members of our community and those that are most risk of social-isolation.

As part of our Community Cohesion programme we aspire to work with and support local businesses following the COVID-19 pandemic by bringing more footfall into the town and support the regeneration of Chester-Le-Street.

The new development subject to planning approval is envisaged to begin in July 2021 with a completion date of January 2022.
