Today is the first chance for United to do a 'double' this season having won in August at Washington 2 - 0 with goals from Addis Dore and Harley Lawton. Neither likely to be available today.
Addis has long since returned to Middlesbrough and Harley still recovering from injury. He does have an outside chance of making the bench but will not be rushed back given the form we're in.
Washington are having a very tough season indeed at the moment and only have 1 win and 1 draw from their 19 games this season for a total of 4 points. Goals scored are 16 and goals conceded 71 so it’s no surprise to see them sitting at the bottom of the division right now.
If United can pick up a win today it would mean their tremendous run of form in the League would continue. Last weekend’s excellent 2 – 0 win at Grangetown Boys Club making it six wins and a draw from our last seven League games.
An excellent return and one that sees them currently sitting in 9th place in the table with the possibility of going 8th with a win as Prudhoe one place above us lost in the FA Vase last night against Redcar Athletic and have no league game this weekend.
Kick-off at The Ford Quarry Football Hub is 15:00pm and we hope to see as many of you there as possible.
