Next up for Chester-le-Street United is another home game in the Ebac Northern League Division 2 against Prudhoe Youth Club Seniors on Tuesday 30th July with a 19:45pm kick-off.
Our opponents looked to be cruising to an opening day victory at new boys Grangetown Boys Club going two-nil up inside the first forty minutes with a double from Matt Law. But they had to settle for a point in the end when the Boys Club came back.
They look to have put together a squad mixed with experience and youth and as well as Matt Law they have the dangerous Craig Fairley and Sam Dibb-Fuller up front that will need to be watched. Games between Prudhoe and us tend to be close with not a lot in them.
There may be a few missing from our squad and starting line-up tonight as injuries and absences kick in but let’s hope those coming in and can step up and we can recover from Saturday's close defeat and put our first point(s) of the season on the board.
As ever we value and thank you for your support as we look to reward it in the right way.
