The preparation for the new season begins on Friday for Chester's first team. The youngsters many who play out of Park View Academy and will kick-off senior life in The EBAC Northern League Division 2 this season travel to Huddersfield.
It's the first time the retained players from last season and the new blood, including a fair few promoted from Park View Academy, have come together as they start their pre-season preparation.
They will play a behind closed doors friendly against a Huddersfield Town Academy B side at Canalside, Huddersfield with kick-off at 13:00pm. It's certainly going to be a tough test for the young United side but one that will be invaluable as they prepare for a tough season to come.
United are then next in action on Monday night when they travel to Northern Alliance First Division Championship favourites Newcastle Blue Star for a friendly fixture which kicks-off at 19:30pm.
