United Return Home Looking To Keep Run Going

For the first time since they beat FC Hartlepool 5 - 1 on the 18th September the Wearside League Leaders Chester-le-Street United return to The Riverside for a league game.


They face Shildon AFC Reserves looking to extend their seven-match unbeaten run and consolidate their position at the top of table. That run has seen them progress in the Durham FA Trophy and Alan Hood Charity Cup as well as go to the summit of the division. They have scored an incredible 34 goals in those seven games.


Today's opposition sit in 13th place in the league with 17 points from 17 games. They have a record of 5 wins, 2 draws and 10 defeats, scoring 20 goals and conceding 30.


The player to watch from Shildon is 21-year-old forward Johnson Ballan who has scored 14 goals in 18 appearances including 8 in the league. He scored all four goals in their last game which was a 4 - 1 Monkwearmouth Charity Cup win over Richmond Town.


Kick-off at The Riverside is at 14:00pm.
